GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL/COLLEGE PREP 2007/08
Below is an outline of the tentative college prep
program, the managers & coach are listed to the left. Some of the
tournaments may change depending on team performance and needs. The
outline shows the type of player commitment level needed for the
program. The program will give the players and teams what they need to
reach their goals.
Why Play in The College Prep Program:
• To put yourself in a program that will help you reach your goal of
playing college soccer.
• To play and compete at a high level.
• To become the best player you are capable of becoming.
Tryouts
The girls’ college prep program will conduct three tryout dates: Sat.
May 17th, Wednesday May 21st and Saturday June 7th.
The boys’ college prep program will conduct tryouts on Thursday June 5th
and Saturday June 7th.
Summer Training
The players from U15 – U18 will train as a group three days a week
starting in June and ending in late July. We will decide on the start up
date for team training.
Chicago Gaels Camp
We will invite all players to attend the Gaels camp held at our fields.
You will work with the Chicago Gaels Coaches and Players. This will be
optional but you will have a great opportunity to work with college
soccer players.
Team Training
Starting late summer and into the fall teams will train 2 times per
week. Training sessions can be added depending on team needs. Sessions
will be schedule for 90 minutes. Players may come to extra trainings.
Indoor Training
After the out door season we will take a short break and then start up
indoor training. We are now in the process of securing practice times
and space. Teams will train once/twice a week.
Spring
All players will move on to high school soccer in the spring. Teams will
come back to compete in State Cup after the high school season. The
Hawks Soccer Club Supports High School Soccer.
The program will also provide:
College Recruiting Seminar
College coaches and players will be asked to come in and speak on the
ins and outs of the recruiting process and playing college soccer. We
will discuss the steps for U15 – U18.
