U13 Green finish 1st in St. Valentine’s Day Tournament

Team ranked #11 in Illinois and #36 in the Midwest

CONGRATULATIONS to the girls U13 Green team for finishing 1st in the St. Valentine’s Day Tournament held at the Max on Saturday, February 9th! The girls played top level competition and proved they can compete with the best! Coaches Derrick Clanton and John Niestrom told the girls before each game that they felt we were the best team in the tournament and that it was their tournament to lose. They stepped up and played outstanding soccer, beating some top ranked teams.

The new rankings have just come out and HSC U13 girls are ranked #11 in Illinois and #36 in the Midwest, quite an accomplishment!

HSC U13 Green will be playing in the TAD division of IWSL for the spring season. This division is the top league in the State of Illinois. It is an honor to be invited to play at this level. The girls will be traveling to Louisville, Kentucky for the Javanon Cup in the middle of March. Go Hawks!
