HAWKS U11 BOYS MAKE IT TO THE FINALS OF THE NSR GOLD CUP

The U11 Green Boys captured second place in the NSR Gold Cup over the Labor Day Weekend. Facing great competition the U11 boys lost their first game to the Chicago Fire 4-1 but then bounced back the next 2 games defeating Libertyville 3-1 and ICSC soccer club from Southern Illinois 8-0. This was enough to capture the wildcard and advance to the semi finals where they faced another tough opponent the Naperville Galaxy. After losing twice last year to the Galaxy the U11 Hawks Green Boys rose to the occasion defeating the Galaxy 2-1. The boys then advanced to the finals where they were defeated by an overpowering Chicago Fire Jrs to capture second place in the NSR Gold Cup.
